Summary
The Senior Manager, Technical Implementation & IT Operation is responsible for leading enterprise-wide implementation efforts and driving strategic technical initiatives that span multiple functions across the organization. This role emphasizes technical leadership, solution execution, and business alignment more than traditional project administration, shifting the focus from pure project management to implementation ownership and cross-functional delivery leadership. The position serves as a connector between business priorities and technical execution, ensuring that initiatives are well-scoped, technically sound, and effectively adopted. It is designed for a senior leader who can influence across teams, guide implementation decisions, and help translate strategic goals into scalable technology outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from planning through deployment, stabilization, and adoption.
- Drive technical initiatives that support business strategy, operational efficiency, and enterprise transformation.
- Partner with business, IT, operations, engineering, and external partners to align requirements, dependencies, and implementation plans.
- Provide leadership on technical direction, solution approach, systems integration, and execution priorities across initiatives.
- Establish governance, operating cadences, and implementation standards to improve delivery consistency and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate implementation risks, technical constraints, resource conflicts, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Lead change readiness and adoption efforts to help ensure successful rollout of new systems, platforms, and processes.
- Mentor team members and emerging leaders involved in implementation efforts, technical initiatives, and cross-functional execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience leading technical implementations, enterprise initiatives, or cross-functional technology programs.
- 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role with responsibility for driving technical outcomes across teams.
- Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives that require collaboration across business and technical functions.
- Strong understanding of technical environments such as infrastructure, enterprise systems, integrations, software delivery, or platform implementation.
Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
- Experience leading enterprise system implementations, digital transformation initiatives, or large-scale platform rollouts.
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or other structured delivery models.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, AWS, Azure, or other relevant technical or delivery credentials a plus.
- Experience working in regulated, operationally complex, or manufacturing-oriented environments. Global environment desired.
