Summary

The Sr Vice President, Sales is responsible for leading and developing a team of Sales Executives to drive growth and client retention within the financial services sector. This role focuses on strategic planning, execution of sales initiatives, pipeline management, and fostering high-performance culture across the team. The position requires deep understanding of the healthcare and financial industry sectors, comprised of Banking, Insurance, Wealth Management, and Retirement. The areas of focus will be in software solutions to support these industries, document creation, print management, data analytics, campaign management, and omni-channel document delivery.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Sales Executives to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Healthcare Financial Services vertical, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Forecast revenue, analyze trends, and implement corrective measures to meet or exceed targets.
  • Partner with executive leadership on pricing, market positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure consistent sales process adherence, including Salesforce pipeline management, reporting, and opportunity qualification standards.

Performance Management

  • Establish KPIs for the sales team and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Guide team members on prospecting, consultative selling, and relationship management best practices.
  • Facilitate training and development to improve product knowledge, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Client & Market Development

  • Oversee strategic relationships with key enterprise accounts and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify new market opportunities and partnerships to expand the company’s financial services portfolio.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, emerging trends, and regulatory changes impacting the financial services industry.
  • Support major proposal efforts and executive-level presentations.

Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Product Development to ensure client needs are met and growth opportunities are captured.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on market insights, client challenges, and product/service enhancements.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate reporting of team performance metrics and sales forecasts.
  • Review and approve key client contracts, proposals, and invoices within assigned authority levels.
  • Represent the company 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent business management training preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive sales experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing sales teams.
  • Proven success in strategic business development, account growth, and client retention within Financial Services markets.
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
