Summary

The  Associate AI Engineer will contribute to the development and deployment of AI-powered systems and tools while gaining hands-on experience in real-world applications of artificial intelligence. This role will work closely with senior engineers and data scientists on a range of projects involving AI APIs, automation, data processing, and intelligent applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow into a full-stack AI engineer with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and practical problem-solving.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with building and integrating AI features into products, including natural language processing (NLP), summarization, classification, and chatbot development.
  • Help prepare datasets for AI model input, perform exploratory data analysis, and ensure data quality for training and inference.
  • Build basic prototypes using tools like OpenAI, LangChain, or Hugging Face to evaluate potential solutions.
  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers to implement tasks, conduct testing, and participate in code reviews.
  • Document code, processes, and system behaviors to support maintainability and onboarding of future team members.
  • Assist in evaluating model outputs, analyzing performance metrics, and applying improvements based on feedback.
     

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in software or AI-related development (internships, research, or personal projects count).
  • Exposure to OpenAI framework, vector database (e.g. Pinecone), Langchain, Prompt Engineering and/or Agentic frameworks

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and understanding of core programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML libraries or APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Scikit-learn).
  • Basic understanding of data structures, REST APIs, and Git version control.
  • Exposure to SQL and basic data querying/manipulation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS

Learning Orientation

  • Demonstrated interest in AI/ML through coursework, projects, or certifications.
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, platforms, and frameworks.
  • Quick to pick up new technologies and develop prototypes 
  • Good communication and writing skills 

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
