Summary
The Vice President of Strategic Planning plays a pivotal role in guiding and shaping the strategic direction of the company. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The VP of Strategic Planning will analyze market trends, identify opportunities for expansion, and ensure alignment of business strategies with organizational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the company's strategic plan in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Identify and evaluate market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth in the industry.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial and operational performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Monitor industry benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess company performance relative to competitors.
- Develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and expand market share in targeted segments.
- Assess risks associated with business strategies and develop mitigation plans.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments that could impact business operations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of strategic initiatives.
- Communicate strategic plans, objectives, and progress to stakeholders, including board members and investors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. 4+ years of experience in plant management or senior production operations management roles of increasing responsibility in print manufacturing environments.
- 3 + related experience in vertical markets (i.e. Healthcare, Financial Services, etc.).
- Adept in workflow management data processing, printing, fulfillment, mailing, invoicing, reporting, inventory management.
- A track record of results in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Must have relative project management experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (MS Word, MS Excel), Microsoft Project or other project management tools.
- Must be proficient with basic IT technical concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Has lead organizational transformation with successful results.
- Expertise in leading manufacturing operations, including production planning, safety initiatives, production scheduling, equipment setup, production control, and production optimization.
- Expertise in manufacturing standards and metrics for safety, quality, production, labor and material variances, and employee relations and retention; establishes a culture of accountability through individual and team metrics.
- Honed skills in Leadership, Continuous Improvement, Team Building and Customer Relationships.
Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. In addition, requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
