Summary

This sourcing executive will work in a highly collaborative and consultative environment, working closely with the leadership teams across Data Analysis Incorporated (DAI). The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing will partner with leaders to develop and execute the sourcing strategies for identified categories, with the main focus on Indirect and Direct categories for Oneil Digital Solutions, the largest operating company in the DAI portfolio of companies. Developing and maintaining key supplier relationships and driving lower cost of materials and services will be a main objective for this Senior Supply Chain leader. The leader will have the opportunity to modernize a legacy purchasing organization into a Sourcing function.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of corporate-wide sourcing strategies by using a well-established sourcing process and rigorous analytical methods e.g., benchmarking, sensitivity analysis, competitive market testing, end-to-end value chain TCO (Total Cost Ownership) analysis, etc.
  • Utilize current sourcing platform and tools to identify synergy and cost savings opportunities across the organization
  • Identify regional low cost supply and service sources that represent new technology, price and/or feature advantages
  • Build and implement a robust corporate wide RFQ process across all categories
  • Provide sourcing solutions and support to the operating units and manage supplier relationships globally
  • Partner with the DAI leaderhip to develop and execute specific cost reduction initiatives to solution challenges for the business
  • Manage all key vendor and service negotiations, deliver best in class standard contract terms, and monitor compliance of corporate contracts across the operating companies
  • Strive to continually improve the sourcing processes by improving the internal processes, using state of the art sourcing tools and drive use of e-procurement tools
  • Develop and maintain deep category expertise (e.g., industry trends, best practices) to achieve “best value for money” solutions, balancing price, quantity, lead-time, and quality
  • Ensure DAI is positioned to mitigate mid-long term sourcing risks through the develop of alternative sources and other best in class sourcing tactics 
  • Meet or exceed the DAI’s annual material savings and cash flow goals while ensuring financial compliance
  • Manage IT software licensing procurement
  • Support and participate in DAI’s on-going implementation of MicroSoft Dynamics ERP system
  • Participate in the creation of an S&OP demand Planning process that will leverage the new ERP system
     

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • Bachelor degree in applicable educational area
  • 15+ years of relevant sourcing experience; purchasing engineered to order commodities and/or use of e-procurement
  • 5+ years experience leading other materials management/sourcing professionals (directly or indirectly)
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing agreements globally for raw materials and indirect commodities
  • Experience with sourcing paper, ink, and other materials related to mass production printing
  • Expertise in developing and fostering effective supplier relationships internationally
  • Strong leadership capability with proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at senior levels
  • A high level of interpersonal and project management skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, critical thinking and problem solving skills; must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment using change management to coach other

Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • MBA, APICS OR ISM (NAPM) CERTIFICATION A PLUS

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
