Summary
The Senior Platform Engineer will contribute to the development and enhancement of scalable, secure cloud-native platforms that support a fast-moving software development lifecycle. This role involves implementing DevOps best practices, promoting software quality, and supporting compliance and reliability initiatives. Working under the guidance of platform leadership, the Senior Engineer collaborates across engineering functions to deliver resilient and efficient platform solutions aligned with business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native development platforms and services.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks to improve development velocity and product quality.
- Collaborate with global teams, including offshore support, to ensure consistent delivery standards and shared tooling practices.
- Participate in software quality assurance efforts and assist in ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001).
- Partner with development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to enable seamless platform integration.
- Assist in incident response efforts, support root cause analyses, and apply ITIL-based service improvement techniques.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 6–8 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or software quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Playwright, Jira/X-Ray, and automated testing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Agile and/or SAFe methodologies.
- Exposure to global or cross-functional team collaboration.
Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
- Master’s degree or technical certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator).
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Test Automation Engineer certification.
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
Working Conditions
Must be able to perform essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
