Summary
The Senior Sourcing Specialist participates in the companywide procurement process, which includes strategic sourcing, supplier and contract negotiations, project management, supplier relationship management, and supplier diversity program.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies and executes company-wide cost savings opportunities which involves sourcing suppliers, managing competitive bids and negotiating with suppliers with emphasis on IT sourcing of hardware and software.
- Creating and distributing Request for Information and Request for Proposals
- Analyzing supplier’s proposals and presenting results
- Research vendors to best suit availability, price and quality for each product or service
- Review contract database and initiate contract renewal meetings
- Prepare supplier business reviews annually
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, or degree
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience as a member of a sourcing department
- Successful contract negotiation experience in software, hardware and technology services
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with setting and achieving MBO goals is a plus
Working Conditions
Must be able to perform essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
