Summary

Supports the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery operational and processes excellence. Provides subject matter expertise and advice and works across ODS plant operations to deliver operational program results within the manufacturing teams.  As a part of the Production Engineering team will be expected to support all process improvement projects led by the team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fosters a culture aligned to ODS purpose, values, and strategy and role models ODS values and behaviors in all that they do.
  • Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group. 
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant policies and processes
  • Leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals. 
  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements, and develops a roadmap for strategic execution. 
  • Supports day-to-day operational processes, program management activities & administrative tasks for talent acquisition to achieve business results and deliver the intended employee experience. 
  • Develops operational solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs. 
  • Participates in the design, development, implementation, and management of core processes. 
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations to plant leadership 
  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine. 
  • Provide guidance and products to plant leadership and operations teams
  • Attend new product development meetings as a core team member. 
  • Develop the operating teams' capability and technical understanding and mastery of process control through data collection and loss analysis. 
  • Ensure all systems operate smoothly and align with our quality standards
  • Support daily operations and work with site leadership to address potential issues when they arise
  • Build processes that meet our business objectives and ensure compliance
  • Coach, develop, and mentor site leadership teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Proven project management experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience solving complex business issues
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, work collaboratively and build a team

Working Conditions

Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb.  In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
