Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Inventory Control Clerk is to assist with the management of the inventory of all materials needed for the production floor.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create cycle counts in the ERP
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies within ERP
  • Report and investigate any stock issues and inform the Inventory Supervisor
  • Assist with the reporting of nonconforming and damages of materials
  • Assist and complete the reporting of return to stock (RTS) 
  • Assist and complete destruction of client owned inventory and company materials
  • Collaborating with other departments to manage inventory levels and support efficeient operations.
  • Performs physical counts of stock, such as cycle counting, to system accuracy.
  • Investigates and resolves any issues or inaccuracies found in inventory counts.
  • May create and close transfer orders for materials and manage inventory related to production schedule.
  • Ability to operate equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers.
  • Updates and keeps inventory records accurate and organized.
  • Assists in implementing procedures to prevent inventory loss.
  • Assist with other duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • High School graduate, or completion of GED or experience equivalent
  • At least 3 years working in a warehouse or working with inventory
  • Ability to work independently and with other coworkers
  • Ability to drive a forklift or use pallet jacks when offloading trucks
  • Ability to read and understand packing slips
  • Understand procedures on requesting material from inventory
  • Understand procedures on filling out and issuing material to floor and returning material to inventory
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) 
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills necessary 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without restriction 
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilities 
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems considered a plus
  • Must be able to work overtime

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
