Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager with strong automation experience to lead and evolve our testing strategy across multiple platforms and projects. This role will champion automation-first practices, driving efficiency, scalability, and higher product quality through the implementation of robust automated testing frameworks and processes. This person should be an adaptable leader, confident communicator, and strong collaborator who values both technical excellence and team mentorship.

  • $100K to $110K, +15% Yearly bonus target.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Lead quality assurance for large or multiple medium-scale projects/programs. 
•    Champion the development and implementation of QA methodologies within the organization. 
•    Advance QA methodology and oversee the transition to automated testing systems. 
•    Manage Offshore QA team for quality assurance execution. 
•    Coordinate QA activities across various departments.
•    Participate as a core team member working with Engineering, Client Services, Clients, Business Systems Analysts, and Project Managers. 
•    Lead UAT support efforts and participate in client-facing discussions to ensure alignment on testing expectations.
•    Develop and execute QA strategies and manage all QA efforts to ensure Production Readiness. 
•    Drive all phases of QA deliverables—planning, scripting, test execution, defect management, and production validation.
•    Collaborate with QA leads, developers, BSAs, and product teams to define automation test plans and timelines.
•    Oversee and contribute to automated testing for PDF proofing, ensuring accuracy against multiple data sources and template standards.
•    Create and maintain scalable, data-driven automated test scripts using tools like Playwright, Python, or similar.
•    Perform test coverage analysis and identify gaps where automation should be implemented.
•    Conduct root cause analysis for failed tests and implement fixes or recommend process improvements.
•    Manage automation test results and provide clear, actionable reporting for stakeholders.
•    Ensure automation practices include security and compliance aspects such as authentication, encryption, and adherence to regulations like HIPAA.
•    Actively contribute to QA process evolution and drive continuous improvement across the team.
•    Identify gaps in manual versus automated coverage and lead initiatives to reduce repetitive manual testing through automation.

Qualifications & Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance Management or related field.
•    Proficient in QA methodologies across multiple platforms and applications.
•    Experience with QA automation tools and frameworks. 
•    Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle and Testing Lifecycle, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
•    Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
•    Demonstrated experience in overseeing various QA processes - Unit, SIT, UAT, End to End, Performance testing.
•    Project management experience and knowledge of Enterprise Testing Standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
•    Strong leadership and communication skills.
•    Ability to develop and implement effective QA strategies.
•    Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
•    Skilled in using Jira and other QA tools.
•    Capable of leading diverse teams, including remote or offshore groups.
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Direct and oversee the Offshore QA team, ensuring effective execution of test plans and QA processes.
•    Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to QA team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
•    Conduct performance evaluations, manage team dynamics, and address any personnel issues within the QA team.
•    Collaborate with other department leads to align QA objectives with overall business goals.
•    Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for the QA team.
•    Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new QA team members.

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each work day), the ability to hear the telephone, the ability to enter data on a computer, and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
