Summary
The Digital Press Operator II position operates and maintains digital presses that produces various printed materials. The operator is responsible for operating more than one piece of digital press equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate HP Roll-fed Inkjet Digital web press
- Operate HP Indigo and OCE cut sheet press
- Work with HP Service techs to troubleshoot advanced equipment issues
- Follows strict adherence to all polices, procedures and compliance requirements
- Drive continuous process improvements
- Assist with work and employee scheduling
- Perform maintenance on Indigo press including: changing the Imaging Oil Filter, the Silica Filter and change the Bid Units/Bid Rollers
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
- Operate in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining all safety and OSHA standards
- Sign off on Digital Operator I and Trainees rolls on HP T-Series Presses
- Work with customers and Client Services Managers for product sign offs
- Work with the Desktop department to fix any file corrections that are needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School graduate, or completion of GED required
- A minimum of three years experience in a digital printing and direct mail environment (operating either Oce, web digital presses, HP Indigo web and sheetfed, IBM, Xerox iGen sheetfed presses, Kodak, Canon and cut-sheet digital presses) necessary
- This position requires and individual who is technically and mechanically oriented
- Experience in setting up and running HP Indigo equipment and files and HP Indigo certification is a plus
- Experience running roll-fed/continuous feed systems and toner-based digital web presses desired
- Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity

Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
