Summary
The Digital Press Operator I position operates and maintains digital presses that produces various printed materials. The operator is responsible for operating more than one piece of digital press equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate HP Roll-fed Inkjet Digital Web Press
- Operate HP Indigo Press and Oce cut sheet press
- Perform all scheduled maintenance on Oce and Indigo Presses including changing blankets, rollers, and blades
- Follows strict adherence to all polices, procedures and compliance requirements
- Drive continuous process improvements
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
- Operate in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining all safety and OSHA standards
- Successfully web up press, load job profiles, and submit files correctly and accurately to the press for printing
- Must keep work area clean and organization
- Correctly perform a makeready and run production with limited supervision on Indigo, Oce, and Riso press
- Perform maintenance on HP T-Series presses including changing print heads, servicing NIPS, and cleaning rollers
- Tracks and records all consumables and through put of equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School graduate, or completion of GED required
- Experience in setting up and running HP T-Series, Oce, or HP Indigo equipment and files and HP Indigo certification
- Experience running roll-fed/continuous feed systems and toner-based digital web presses desired
- Clamp truck experience is also a plus
- This position requires and individual who is technically and mechanically oriented

Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
