Summary

The Press Room Supervisor oversees the press room area, supervising a team to ensure production goals, quality standards, and cost objectives are met. This role assigns tasks, checks work at frequent intervals, and maintains schedules while performing individual tasks related to the unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work frequently.    30%
  • Monitor daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.    25%
  • Develop and manage schedules and manpower requirements for the prepress area.    15%
  • Implement procedures to improve efficiency and quality in the prepress area.    10
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.    10%
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to team members.    5%
  • Assist in managing the prepress department budget and make budgetary recommendations.    5%

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a press or related production environment.

Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • Some college coursework.
  • Experience in manufacturing management or clean room manufacturing is a plus.

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. In addition, requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
