Summary

The Digital Press Operator II is responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of web presses and associated finishing equipment. Builds on foundational skills from Level I, contributing advanced knowledge in Cut Sheet operations and enhanced troubleshooting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet all Level I duties and standards.
  • Troubleshoot TOF mark and make real-time press adjustments.
  • Adjust inline perforation wheel distance and depth.
  • Fine-tune slitter wheels for size-specific needs; replace blades as required.
  • Troubleshoot vacuum and evacuation systems.
  • Support Cut Sheet operations when needed.
     

Qualifications & Requirements

Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Digital Press Operator I
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds safely
  • Forklift/rider certification
  • All Level I KSAs plus:
  • Intermediate troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities
  • Ability to operate Cut Sheet area equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of perforation and slitter units

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
