Summary
Provides structure and vision for a collection of projects within a business vertical (e.g. application development, web development, business process improvement, etc). Balances resources across projects to deliver maximum business value within budget constraints. Acts as a partner to executive management by identifying opportunities and providing strategic guidance. Capable of managing mission-critical initiatives and transformational change.
Compensation
$100K to $120K, + 10% Yearly Discretionary Bonus
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the firm’s business and stakeholder needs, expectations, and requirements
- Collaborate with the project team in determining the approach, deliverables, and tools required to meet project objectives
- Collaborate with the project team to estimate cost and schedule using established estimating processes and tools
- Obtain stakeholder sign-off on project charter, scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables
- Develop and improve enterprise-wide processes for project delivery, from scoping through execution and closure
- Coordinate all activities of the project team and ensure that project tasks are completed by scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/stakeholder reviews, etc) and communicating action steps and expectations to the team
- Deliver regular status reports to project team, stakeholders, and management
- Act as the point of contact for all day-to-day project issues
- Develop, maintain, review and/or disseminate all project documentation including project charter, status reports, invoices, change orders, schedules, budgets, and retrospective reviews
- Collaborate on the content and presentation of key deliverables to ensure relevancy, strategy, quality and timeliness
- Ensure that all project documentation is produced in the standard format, follows internal documentation processes, and is reviewed and approved
- Manage vendor and third-party relationships (i.e., consultants, software providers, etc)
- Coordinate activities of the project management team and has overall responsibility for the delivery of projects in the collection of projects
- Manage and control project scope and the change control process to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and within budget
- Identify project risks, develop a risk response plan, and regularly communicate risk status to the project team and stakeholders
- Establish benchmarks for measuring deliverable quality and take corrective actions as necessary
- Oversee project management team to ensure that scope, risk, and quality are properly monitored for all assigned projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of three to five years in a project management role (Financial services industry preferred)
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence, MS SharePoint)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven experience with various project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Lean, Kanban, Hybrid)
- Ability to adapt and tailor methodologies to specific project needs
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required
- PgMP certification a plus
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall development approaches
- Exceptional clarity and precision in written and oral communication
- Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
- Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner

Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
